I had a great time taking part in this contest – it was a blast! Although it was the trip that first got my attention, I thought it would be good to compete with other students. And it’s definitely a good cause.
I started an event group on Facebook and sent it out to 20 friends who I thought might be interested. Everyone was really responsive and happy to help.
It wasn’t too difficult. We went door to door and collected from friends and family. A lot of people I knew had bottles that were saved up from over the summer and parties.
The generosity of people surprised me. A lot of the money went back to the people who donated the bottles. And we ended up making a donation to our University of Lethbridge Surf Club, who got involved in the collecting.

damn i guess i should start keeping my receipts!!!! i have returned over 76000 bottles this year by myself!!!
